Odisha Computer Application Centre (OCAC), the Designated Technical Directorate of E&IT Department provides technical and professional support for strengthening the capacity of line departments for effective implementation of e-Governance in Odisha.
Many programmes have been conducted from time to time across the departments aimed at Human Resource Development, Training and Awareness Building, building capacities on various guidelines, policies and technical aspects of ICT implementation and e-Governance initiatives. Leadership meet program with the political leaders, STeP, eGPM, eGLP, eGCP and various thematic Trainings for key government officials are being conducted at regular intervals. Other training programs for general capacity building through computer training are being offered across the state including employees of the Secretariat. Dedicated manpower resources for capacity building such as State e-Governance Mission Team (SeMT) have been placed and are being utilized to enhance the standard of training programme and overall capacity building.
With the support of National Institute for Smart Government (NISG), OCAC has successfully completed the Customized Training Programme on e-Governance for 125 Senior Government officials in 2018.
Besides, OCAC is conducting several training programmes in IT/ITeS viz. O and A Level programme of NIELIT, Programming in C/C++, Data Structure through C/C++, Application Development on Open Source, Software Testing, Mobile Technology, Web Application Development & Content Mgmt, Oracle, JAVA, Dot Net, Arc GIS, Computer Aided Design & Drafting using AutoCAD, STADD.Pro, CATIA, Tally etc. Foreign Language Course on French is regularly conducted by OCAC with assistance of highly qualified and experienced faculties.
